Congratulations to NSW HPC/SGAC athlete, Gabriel Swan-McLean who placed 5th in the Vault final at the 2018 Szombathely World Challenge Cup which took place from the 21st until the 23rd of September. Qualifying 4th into the finals, Gabriel was up against a world-class field and demonstrated two well executed vaults which saw him secure 5th position. The NSW HPC is pleased to confirm the selection of 7 athletes to compete at the 2018 London Open, taking place from the 8th - 9th of September in London, United Kingdom. Taking place from May 21 - 28 at the Hisense Area, in Melbourne, Victoria the 2018 Australian Championships attracted the top MAG and WAG athletes from across the nation. Represented by 19 athletes across 4 divisions, the NSW HPC team walked away with 7 national championship titles, 7 silver medals and 12 bronze medals. Congratulations to NSW HPC (Sydney Olympic Park) gymnast Jack Hall, who has finished a respectable 15th AA at the 2018 Pacific Rim Championships in Medellin, Colombia. Jack made three finals qualifying 3rd for floor, 5th for Rings and 6th for High Bar. In the finals Jack competed well and came away with 4th of both floor and rings and 8th of High bar. Jack's next competition will be the 2018 Australian Championships taking place in Melbourne, Victoria from May 21. #NSWHPC #G
After seven full days of competition the 2017 Australian Gymnastics Championships have come to an end. With the NSW HPC being represented by 11 athletes across 5 divisions and competing against some of the best juniors from across Australia our guys did a tremendous job bringing back a total of 21 medals, 5 of which were Gold. Some standout performances were Gabriel Swan-McLean capturing a bronze medal on vault in the senior division alongside World cup athletes and medlaists
The NSW HPC would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all of the athletes, families and coaches who took part in the 2017 NSW Senior State Championships this past weekend, April 8th and 9th.
Our athletes won an impressive 16 Gold, 11 Silver and 8 Bronze Medals, with Alan Osman (Castle Hill RSL) and Benjamin Foster (Sydney Gymnastics Centre) being crowned the 2017 NSW State Champions in the level 8 under 14 and Level 9 under 15/17 divisions respectively. Tom Brunk

Whilst many other gymnastics programs in Australia were winding down for the Christmas break the NSW HPC sending a team of 13 athletes to the Valeri Liukin Invitational that was held December 9 - 11 in Dallas, Texas. The event, which attracted teams from Japan, Russia, Ukraine, Mexico, New Zealand and clubs from across America, was the first international competition for many of the athletes, however they did not let this show in their performances.
