Valeri Liukin Invitational 2016

Whilst many other gymnastics programs in Australia were winding down for the Christmas break the NSW HPC sending a team of 13 athletes to the Valeri Liukin Invitational that was held December 9 - 11 in Dallas, Texas.
The event, which attracted teams from Japan, Russia, Ukraine, Mexico, New Zealand and clubs from across America, was the first international competition for many of the athletes, however they did not let this show in their performances. The level 8 team finished 3rd behind hosts WOGA and Cypress Gymnastics, and Jose Caballero took out the 13+ age division whilst his team mate Ethan Princena-White finished in 3rd. In the level 9 division Jack Hall and Toby Stevens finished 1st and 2nd respectively in their age group whilst newly turned seniors Gabriel Swan-McLean and Ethan Stathakis put in solid routines that competed alongside of the worlds best up and coming gymnasts.
Congratulations to all of the athletes on fantastic performances.
