NSW HPC JUNIORS SHINE AT STATE CHAMPS
Congratulations to all of the NSW HPC athletes who competed at the 2018 NSW Junior State Championships this past weekend. With 20 boys across 4 divisions, this was the largest contingent ever for the NSW HPC at a Junior State Championships.
Day 1 saw the level 4, 5 and 6 boys take to the floor who showed confidence and quality in their performances. The highlight of the day was Dominic Briscas (Bankstown YMCA) capturing the level 4U State Champion title, whilst his teammate, Elijah WU (SGAC) picked up bronze. Small mistakes cost the level 5U boys from a cleansweep, however the boys should be proud of their performances with Xavier Mauceri (Castle HIll RSL) winning the bronze medal. The day finished with the level 6U boys who put in season best performances, and was lead by Mitchell Sewell (Bankstown YMCA) who won the bronze medal in the AA.
Day 2 was rounded off by the smallest of the NSW HPC team, the Level 3U boys. With this being many of their first NSW State Championships ever, the goal was to go out and gain some valuable competition experience whilst having fun along the way. They put in a great showing with some season best performances. and some very big smiles at the end.
Congratulations to all of the athletes and coaches who took part in the 2018 NSW Junior State Championships.
