Congratulations to the NSW HPC athletes who competed at the NSW State Trial #2 this past weekend, and who put together some outstanding performances and great results.
Day 1 saw the Level 9 under 15/17, 10 and Senior International boys take to the floor. The boys showed increased difficulty and better performances from the first State Trial. The highlight was a clean-sweeps in the Level 10/Senior division with Jack Hall capturing the all-around gold title, whilst his teammates, Adam Rusgnach and Benjamin Congedi picked up the silver and bronze medals. In the level 9 under’s, Adrian Borazio took home the gold followed by HPC mates Ewen McConville and Ben Foster taking the silver and bronze medals.
Day 2 had the level 8 under 14 and 7 under 13 athletes in action. Connor Owen was the only athlete from HPC competing in the level 8 under’s division and overcame some minor errors on the pommel horse to take out the silver medal in the all-around.
In the 7 under’s division, Tru Hagens showed the audience and competitors what he was made of by winning 4 events and taking out the gold by almost 4 points.
Focus now turns to getting ready for the upcoming NSW State Championships on the 13th / 14th of April.
