THE NSW HPC

The GNSW High Performance Centre (NSW HPC) is a high performance program dedicated to developing international elite gymnasts.  Set up by Gymnastics NSW (GNSW) and supported by The Sydney Gymnastics Centre (SGAC) and Gymnastics Australia (GA), it is designed and operated specifically for high performance gymnastics. Our objectives are to identify and develop gymnasts through the high performance pathway with athletes coming from across New South Wales for intensive training under an expert team of coaches anywhere from 4 - 30 hours per week.

JUNIOR
DEVELOPMENT 

Development - Level 8

 

A talent identification program, the Junior Development squads are a development program focusing on the prerequisites for men's gymnastics. Focusing on the 6 - 13 year age group, it incorporates positive training to increase movement, aerial awareness, strength and flexibility as well as skill acquisition. This program sets the foundations for your child's future in any sport.

TRAINING HOURS
4 - 18 Hours per week 

2 - 6 Training sessions per week

JUNIOR
INTERNATIONAL

Levels 9

 

The Junior International Squad is a program focused on levels 9 under.

The programs goal is to maximize the opportunities for strength, speed and power development during this growth phase and to increase skill acquisition appropriate for elite gymnastics.

 

TRAINING HOURS
16 - 24 Hours per week 

5 - 9 Training sessions per week

SENIOR INTERNATIONAL

Level 9 - Senior

 

The Junior and Senior squads working closely together and focus on a Junior and Senior International program.  This is a demanding program with a targeted training environment to give all athletes the opportunity to reach their potential and to strive towards excellence.

24 - 30 Hours per week 

6 - 9 Training sessions per week
